This is a temporary position to start ideally from 16th February 2026 for 8 weeks.
Open Bakery is looking for a pâtissier/pastry chef to become part of a dedicated team making high quality patisserie in our well-established independent bakery.
We are look for a pastry chef who takes pride in their work. Our bakers and kitchen teams make food to consistently high standards. We are looking for someone who:
has an excellent eye for detail and takes pride in their work
has an organised approach
is reliable and dependable
Experience as baker or pastry chef is advantageous. Qualifications or experience in the food industry are required. Training will be given until fully competent in patisserie production.
Wages are paid hourly, with approximately 40-45hrs/week, work shifts will include Saturdays with a mix of early morning starts (3am-11am) and daytime shifts. The hourly rate is paid 1.25x for early mornings.
Starting rate £13.50 depending on experience.
